This incredible story comes from Jamie MacDonald.
She began life in instability, growing up in a fractured home that later led to homelessness and addiction. As a teenager she dropped out of school and entered a life surrounded by drugs, loss, and constant uncertainty.
By her early twenties she had watched close friends overdose, go to prison, and die, forcing a direct confrontation with where her life was heading. In that emptiness she sensed God speak clearly to her heart, “This is not your end.”
She responded in obedience through prayer, journaling, and seeking God, realizing that what she longed for most in her deepest pain was the presence of Christ she had first encountered years earlier. That turning point reshaped her life, and today her voice is offered back to God in worship.
