She Tried the “New Age”—Then Walked Away and Said Four Words: I Belong to Jesus
Angelamarie Scafidi’s story doesn’t fit the narrative modern spirituality wants to sell.
Once immersed in New Age beliefs—energy work, self-spirituality, manifestation, and inner power—Scafidi now publicly declares that she has been delivered from it. Her testimony is not about “finding balance” or “keeping the good parts.” It is about leaving it entirely.
Her words were simple, but explosive: “I belong to Jesus.”
That statement alone draws a clear line the New Age refuses to acknowledge. Christianity does not coexist with spiritual systems built on self-authority, energy manipulation, or ritualized power. Scripture is explicit: spiritual power does exist—but not all power is from God.
The New Age frames itself as light, healing, and enlightenment. The Bible calls those same practices deception when they bypass God and attempt spiritual access through techniques, objects, or internal force. Paul warns that even what appears as light can be counterfeit (2 Corinthians 11:14).
Scafidi’s testimony matters because she doesn’t claim Christianity as an add-on—she claims exclusive allegiance. No crystals. No guides. No manifestations. No rituals. Just submission to Christ.
That’s what unsettles critics. Not that she changed beliefs—but that she rejected the idea that all spiritual paths lead to truth.
Her declaration echoes Scripture’s ancient confrontation with modern spirituality: “Choose this day whom you will serve.” There is no neutral ground.
And when someone walks away from the New Age and names Jesus as Lord, it exposes a truth many would rather ignore—freedom doesn’t come from awakening the self, but from surrendering it.
