Gratitude for Religious Freedom, Prayer for the Persecuted

Franklin Graham marked National Religious Freedom Day by expressing gratitude for living in a country that protects the freedom to worship and openly express faith. “I’m thankful to live in a country that protects our freedom to worship and express our faith,” he wrote, urging people to pray for leaders who defend this liberty so it will continue.

At the same time, Graham reminded believers that many Christians around the world do not enjoy the same protections. He warned that countless followers of Christ are facing “persecution, oppression, and discrimination for their faith,” calling on Americans to remember them intentionally in prayer. His message emphasized both gratitude for freedom and responsibility toward those suffering for their beliefs.
