According to reports from missionary organizations and a 2020 GAMAAN survey, there are believed to be around one million Christians in Iran today. Many are said to be former Muslims who practice their faith quietly and often in house churches.
Under Iranian law, converting from Islam can carry serious consequences. Those accused of conversion or involvement in underground churches have faced arrest, imprisonment, and harsh treatment.
Despite the risks, many observers say the Christian community continues to grow.
Please keep our Christian brothers and sisters in Iran in your prayers — for protection, courage, and peace.
