Hezekiah’s Tunnel Confirms Biblical History

For centuries, skeptics doubted the story of King Hezekiah redirecting Jerusalem’s water supply through an underground tunnel to bring it into the city and protect it from the Assyrian army. (2 Kings 20:20)

But archaeological discoveries have proven the Bible right-it’s exactly where it said! In 1838, explorers found the tunnel. In 1880, the ancient Siloam Inscription was uncovered inside, describing how the workers digging from opposite ends met in the middle.

The tunnel is hand-carved through solid rock, stretching over 1,700 feet—a feat of ancient engineering! Archaeologists date it right to Hezekiah’s time, around 700 B.C.

Today, thousands of visitors walk through this incredible piece of biblical history every year. This is one of the clearest archaeological confirmations of the Bible’s accuracy. It’s not just a book of made up stories to fuel a religion. It is a true historical account of things that actually took place!
