On Christmas Eve 2011, Pastor Umar Mulinde was attacked with acid because of his Christian faith.
The attack left him severely burned, blind in one eye, and fighting for his life. Through the efforts of Christians and supporters who learned of his situation, he was taken to Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv, one of Israel’s leading hospitals. There, a team led by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Josef Haik performed multiple reconstructive surgeries over several years.
Instead of responding with hatred, Pastor Mulinde chose forgiveness, continued preaching the Gospel, and used his testimony to point people to Jesus.
Pray for persecuted Christians around the world. May God strengthen them, heal them, protect them, and use their unwavering faith to bring many to salvation!
“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” — 2 Timothy 3:12
