Hoda Kotb took a break from hosting the Today Show to personally accompany her daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, on their first day of school. She made this heartfelt decision about 25 minutes into the show, citing her motherly responsibilities.
Her co-hosts, understanding her priorities, bid her farewell with best wishes. After a few hours, Hoda returned to her anchor desk, joined by Jenna Bush Hager for the show’s third hour.
Though she skipped the typical “back to school” photo, Hoda shared a Dr. Seuss quote on her personal Instagram: “You’re off to great places today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”
