Hope Rising in the Middle East

As conflict and instability continue across parts of the Middle East, ministries working in the region say many Muslims are turning to Jesus Christ after questioning violence, extremism, and religion during times of suffering and war.

Missionary pastor Georges Houssney told CBN News that major conflicts often lead people to begin searching for hope, peace, and truth beyond what they previously believed. He said many Muslims have come to faith in Christ during times of crisis throughout the region.

One former Muslim prisoner known as Pastor Nihad said he encountered “a person in white” while suffering in prison. He says the experience changed his life and eventually led him to follow Jesus.

The report also highlights Christian outreach efforts in places like Syria and Lebanon, where churches, aid centers, Bible distribution, and personal testimonies have reportedly led many refugees and families to explore Christianity.

Several ministries working throughout the Middle East and Iran have also reported increasing numbers of Muslims claiming to experience dreams and visions about Jesus before ever entering a church or reading the Bible.
