Grammy nominated artist M.I.A. says the strongest backlash she has ever faced came after publicly speaking about her faith in Jesus Christ.
Born into a Hindu family, M.I.A. shared that her life changed after what she described as a real encounter with Jesus in 2016.
“In my time of need, the God that turned up to save me was not Shiva. It was Jesus,” she said.
Despite criticism and potential damage to her career, M.I.A. says she will continue speaking openly about her faith and the truth she believes she found in Christ.
