Marco Rubio Speaks Openly About Faith in Public Service

Secretary of State Marco Rubio continues to attract attention for openly expressing his Christian faith while serving in one of the nation’s most demanding leadership roles.

At the White House, Rubio recently answered a question about his hopes for America by pointing to his faith. Just days earlier, he met privately with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican alongside his wife, Jeanette, discussing religious freedom, persecuted Christians in Africa, and the challenges facing the Church in Cuba.

Rubio has also publicly shared the Gospel, spoken about the Christian foundations of Western civilization, and made his faith a visible part of his public identity.

His X bio reads:

“Christian, Husband, Father, AMERICAN, SecStateUS.”

While some argue faith should remain separate from public leadership, Rubio has continued to speak openly about Jesus Christ.

For many Christians, his example serves as a reminder that public service does not require concealing personal faith.

As Matthew 10:32 says:

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”

Please keep Marco and Jeanette Rubio in prayer as they carry significant responsibilities before a watching world.
