National Day of Prayer 2025 Calls America to Seek God Together

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, believers across the country are gathering for the 75th annual National Day of Prayer with a renewed focus on seeking God together.

This year’s theme comes from 1 Chronicles 16:24:
“Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.”

Organizers say the focus is not only national prayer, but intergenerational unity, calling parents, grandparents, young adults, and children to seek God side by side.

Many Christian leaders also say they are witnessing growing spiritual hunger among younger generations, especially Gen Z, through Bible studies, worship gatherings, and renewed interest in faith.

National events will include leaders such as House Speaker Mike Johnson and evangelist Will Graham, but many say the most important prayers will happen quietly in homes, churches, schools, and everyday moments across America.

At a time of division, uncertainty, and cultural tension, the message behind this year’s gathering is simple:
America does not just need political solutions.
It needs God.
