Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo Says His Life Is in Danger After Speaking Out

Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo warns his life is at risk after denouncing attacks on Christians in Nigeria.

A Christian pastor and regional chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations in Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, Nigeria, has issued a distressing warning following his public appeal to protect Christians from attacks. Ezekiel Dachomo told the media on October 24 that his life is “in grave danger” and that Islamist militants have issued threats against him.

In an October 15 video, Dachomo visited a mass grave where 12 church members were killed during an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on the villages of Rachas and Rawuru. He criticised the Nigerian government for denying what he called a genocide of Christians in the region.

According to the global watch-group Open Doors, Nigeria ranked No. 7 on the 2025 World Watch List and accounted for approximately 3,100 Christian deaths in the most recent reporting period about 69% of all global persecuted-believer fatalities.

Dachomo is now calling for urgent international awareness and support as he faces threats to his life and rising violence against his congregation and surrounding communities.
