Franklin Graham is calling on Christians around the world to pray for American missionary doctor Peter Stafford after he reportedly contracted Ebola while serving patients in the Democratic Republic of Congo during an outbreak in the region.
After testing positive, Stafford was evacuated for treatment as health officials began tracing contacts to help contain the virus. Graham shared that he spoke with Peter’s wife, Rebekah, and assured the family they were being lifted up in prayer. According to reports, the Staffords chose to remain in Congo after completing missions training through Samaritan’s Purse so they could continue serving people in an area with great medical need.
