A Tennessee Catholic priest and exorcist is raising concerns about Steven Spielberg’s upcoming alien film Disclosure Day, suggesting that movies can, in theory, carry demonic influence.
Father Dan Reehil said he was troubled by claims that the film could cause people to question God or their faith. While he said he was not claiming the movie had been cursed, he warned that “demons can be attached to the movie.”
His comments quickly went viral and drew pushback from some Catholic voices, who called the idea superstitious and warned against “Satan panic.” But the debate has reopened a bigger question for Christians: are UFO claims simply science fiction, or could some be tied to spiritual deception?
