Scottish Boy Stands Firm During Mosque Visit

A young Scottish boy is going viral after choosing not to kneel during a prayer demonstration inside a mosque while attending an educational trip with his Beaver Scouts group in the United Kingdom.

The visit, they say, was part of a program designed to teach children about different religions and cultures. During the demonstration, most of the children participated while one boy quietly remained standing beside the group.

However, I’m pretty sure students don’t need to recite Islamic garbage in order to study culture. But what do I know?

The moment also gives off Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego vibes from the book of Daniel, who refused to bow when pressured to do something that violated their convictions. Their story has long been seen as an example of standing firm in faith even when surrounded by pressure to conform.
