Seven-Figure Settlement After Pro-Life Dad’s FBI Raid Acquittal

HUGE WIN FOR PRO-LIFE!

Mark Houck, a pro-life father of seven, has been awarded a seven-figure settlement—reported to be over $1 million— after what many are calling one of the most aggressive federal actions against a peaceful protester in recent years. Houck was arrested in September 2022 during an early-morning FBI raid at his home, where agents took him into custody in front of his wife and children over an alleged incident outside an abortion clinic. He later stood trial and was acquitted of all charges in January 2023, clearing his name completely. Following that victory, Houck and his family pursued legal action against the Department of Justice—and now, the case has resulted in a major financial settlement.

“We got so much persecution from the DOJ under Biden and President Trump has corrected that,” Shawn Carney said recently. “I can tell you that personally, from what we’ve seen at 40 Days for Life it has been absolutely night and day. Under Biden, at one point we were getting 1-to-2 inquiries from the FBI per week at different 40 Days for Life locations. This is absolutely ridiculous, and that has stopped.”

He emphasized pro-lifers no longer have to be afraid to go out, protest and pray peacefully to end abortion, calling it a “huge victory for free speech.”
