Led by Texas Representatives Keith Self and Chip Roy, the newly formed Sharia Free America Caucus has surged to 26 members across 17 states, sounding a clarion call to preserve the nation’s heritage.
Congressman Self, a military veteran who views this as an ‘existential threat,’ warns that the ‘American way of life is under siege by radicals from a culture waging war against our Constitution and Western values.’ Drawing a direct line between the rise of new mosques in Texas and the loss of sovereignty seen in Europe, Self insists, ‘Now is the time to educate our colleagues… to the dangers of a totally separate and disparate civilization.’
The caucus frames this battle as ‘spiritual warfare.’ Representative Chip Roy emphasized that the preservation of Western civilization depends on defending ‘Judeo-Christian values,’ arguing that Sharia is ‘completely incompatible’ with the freedoms of our Republic. Under such an ideology, he warns, ‘there is no freedom of speech, religion, or women’s rights.’
Lawmakers like Mary Miller have joined the front lines, vowing to ‘stand firmly against this radical ideology that seeks to uproot the constitutional principles and Christian values on which our nation was founded.’ As the movement grows, its members are urging Americans to recognize that our liberties are not just legal, but are ‘God-given’ rights that require unyielding faith to protect.
