Carolina Hurricanes star defenseman Jaccob Slavin shared that leading his teammate Jalen Chatfield to Christ means far more to him than winning the Stanley Cup.
Slavin says, “On the plane rides, we start talking about the gospel. He has some of the funniest questions when it comes to the gospel… Fast forward a little bit, he ended up being saved in one of our chapels … Later that year, me and the chaplain baptized him in our pool in the backyard. That was super special …. If my whole career I never win the Stanley Cup or anything, but Jalen came to know the Lord, that’s a successful career.”
