Steve Harvey opened up about how Jesus Christ delivered him from homelessness. “| was homeless, I was at the lowest point of my life, I lived in a car, I had no back yard, I had no TV, I had no phone, I had no bathroom, no sink. I used to tell God every day, “If you let me make it, I’m going to tell everybody it was you!” Well guess what… I’m telling you that it was Him! I have no education. I have no degree of any kind. What you see today is a boy that came out of the bottom, who believed in Him when there wasn’t any sign of me getting through it. My mother told me, “When it gets dark for you, when you can’t find your way, don’t forget to pray. Don’t be ashamed to pray. And don’t ever be too proud to pray. Because prayer, prayer changes things!” You have got to pray!
This verse specifically changed my life… You have not, because you ask not. You have not, because you ask not. It’s such a simple scripture, but it’s so true. The reason people don’t have the life of their dreams, is because they don’t ask God for it. People try to figure it out by themselves and then wonder why it doesn’t work. There isn’t any scripture that says “figure it out yourself.” What are you trying to figure out your life for? This life isn’t yours, you didn’t make it, you didn’t create it, you don’t have anything to do with tomorrow, you can’t change the past, so what are you trippin with your life for? You have not, because you ask not. Ask God! Pray! It’s that simple!”
