Today’s Memorial Day 🇺🇸

For many of us, we celebrate a fun weekend with family & friends, maybe at a barbecue or boat races. But, this weekend is so much more than that.
–
For so many families, they remember this day as one to celebrate the lives of & honor the sacrifice of their fallen U.S. Marine, Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Coast Guardsman who never returned home alive. These families lost fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, loved ones. These men & women gave their lives to keep the United States safe & free. They sacrificed it all.

I’ve had extended family members serve in all branches of the United States military and am married to an active duty member. Living service members sacrifice so much in service. As far as those who passed away, I couldn’t imagine the heartbreak and loss so many families and comrades have suffered. Simply put: freedom isn’t free.
