Mr. Lee barely got his car into the Chick-Fil-A parking lot in Maryland. He was a regular there. But this time when the 96-year-old World War II veteran strolled up to the counter, he was shaking, and almost in tears.
He told the clerk he had a flat tire, and didn’t know what to do. That clerk quickly alerted the manager, Daryl Howard, and he walked Mr. Lee back out to his car. There, Daryl took care of things, jacking the car up and putting the spare tire on the car.
In all, it took him about 15 minutes. Another store manager there at the time, Rudy Somoza, took pictures of Daryl changing the tire and posted them to social media.
Says Rudy: “His action of kindness was beautiful. Daryl has always been so helpful to anyone in need and deserves this recognition.”
And we think so too.
