NASA’s Artemis II mission is preparing to send four astronauts on a nine-and-a-half-day journey around the moon and back, launching from Kennedy Space Center.
Among them is Victor Glover, who shared how his previous time in space deepened his perspective on faith and creation.
He said looking into space made him feel “really small and insignificant.” Yet that contrast led to a deeper realization: after extensive scientific exploration, life has only been found “on that rock” — Earth — which he described as “incredibly special.”
The experience prompted deeper questions about humanity’s place in creation, including, “Why would God think about us?” Glover added that it felt as though God has “put His hand around” the planet.
