Pastor Hunga Mandavi, his pregnant wife and members of his small congregation were attacked by Hindu extremists on Sunday, May 31, in Chhattisgarh (central India).
Christian leaders said, “Attacks against Christians have increased since Chhattisgarh’s revised anti-conversion law was passed in March 2026. Almost every other day, we hear of such incidents in the state. Christian people are very worried.”
Lord Jesus, Your faithful followers are suffering attacks for worshiping You. Their pain is well known by You. We ask that You would intervene in this situation by the power of the Holy Spirit and calm down the violence. May the hope of salvation found in You be carried forth in spite of the persecution. Convict the attackers of the evil they have done. Grant favor from the authorities. Bring healing to Pastor Mandavi and his pregnant wife along with all those who were injured. We commit them into Your care. In Your great name we pray. Amen.
