Angelamarie Scafidi publicly shared a powerful and explicit Christian faith testimony on Instagram, posting “Before & After Jesus” photos on Good Friday to reflect what she believes Christ suffered for her redemption.
She cited multiple Bible passages (1 Peter 2:24; 1 Peter 3:18; Isaiah 53:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 2:20), emphasizing that Jesus was beaten, mocked, crucified, and died so that sinners could be healed, forgiven, and brought back to God.
Scafidi wrote that when she looks at photos of her former self, she is struck by how spiritually “dead” and corrupted she appeared. She said she can see in her eyes that there was no life, and described her past involvement in yoga, secular music, marijuana, reiki, and various forms of divination as ways she unknowingly invited what she now views as spiritual darkness into her life under the guise of “love and light.”
In contrast, she said the “after” photos reflect new life, which she attributes to the Holy Spirit living within her. She openly declared that she belongs to Jesus and affirmed that her life is no longer her own, but lived by faith in Christ, who gave Himself for her.
She concluded her post with a prayer of gratitude, thanking Jesus for His sacrifice, salvation, deliverance, and for setting captives free, expressing that she now lives in freedom because of what Christ has done.
