The phrase “No one is illegal on stolen land” sounds compassionate, but when examined honestly, it collapses under its own weight. By definition, propaganda’s messaging is designed to influence emotions and beliefs while bypassing critical thinking, often using loaded language, moral pressure, and oversimplification to push a political goal.
“No one is illegal on stolen land” fits that definition pretty much perfectly.
Historically, every nation on earth exists because land was conquered, defended, settled, or established through treaties. There is no modern country that didn’t come into existence this way—including the U.S., Europe, Africa, Asia… all of it.
If this slogan were true, then:
• No nation today is legitimate
• No borders can exist
• No immigration law can exist
• No private property can exist
And taken further —
You couldn’t lock your doors.
You couldn’t build a wall.
You couldn’t live in a gated community.
Because if land is “stolen,” then no one would be illegal for entering your home. That’s not compassion. That’s chaos.
Often the ones pushing this are celebrities (like Billie Eilish) living in mansions with walls and their own private security who will REMOVE (like ICE) anyone who trespasses. And even if they are not celebrities, try making your way into someone’s home who holds this line of thinking—eating their food, watching their TV and sleeping in their bed—and watch how fast they call LAW ENFORCEMENT to have you removed.
From a biblical perspective, this idea fails even faster.
“God determined the appointed times and the boundaries of their dwelling.” (Acts 17:26)
God Himself established nations, borders, and order. The Bible repeatedly affirms land allotments, boundary markers, gates, and walls —not as oppression, but as protection and structure. Even Heaven has gates and walls (Revelation 21).
Christian compassion does not mean lawlessness, love does not mean erasing borders, and justice does not mean pretending order is evil. Don’t let emotional catchphrases replace thoughtful, biblical truth.
