Candace Cameron Bure said sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important thing in her life and that she cannot separate her faith from her work in entertainment. She said she will keep walking boldly in that calling, even when people push back or disagree with her.
Bure said she is not afraid of criticism because God’s Word does not change. “I want to be on God’s side of history,” she said, making clear that she would rather stay faithful to Jesus than adjust herself to shifting cultural opinions. She also said denying the gospel in any part of her life would mean denying the One she is most grateful for.
Even after losing contracts and brand partnerships because of her outspoken beliefs, Bure said she has no intention of backing down. She said she has “an audience of one,” and that the person she is ultimately living for is God.
