Adan Sabir (19), a Christian woman from Faisalabad, Pakistan was kidnapped by a Muslim man named Usman Ali. He threatened to kill her family if she didn’t convert to Islam and marry him.
Out of fear, Adan stayed silent during a court hearing where Ali presented a forged marriage document in August 2025. Because of Adan’s silence the judge allowed Ali to take her to his home.
Adan’s family appealed the ruling in spite of Ali’s threats.
In November 2025, the high court overturned her case and Adan was returned to her family. In spite of the ruling, Ali has continued to pursue Adan.
“On April 20, Ali fired gunshots at the family’s home in Jaranwala. Since then, the family has been moving from place to place every few days to stay alive.”
“Usman Ali keeps threatening us, saying that if he took her once, he can take her again, and this time he won’t let her escape.”
Adan’s family is desperately trying to get protection from Ali from the authorities.
Heavenly Father, we cry out to You to deliver Adan and her family from this man who seeks to kidnap her again. Protect them and bring them justice against the relentless attacks from Ali. May the Pakistan authorities intervene and put a stop to his threats and hold him to account for his criminal activity. May Adan and her family receive good legal representation and win her case again. Lead them to a safe place to live and provide for their day to day needs. Strengthen their faith knowing that their lives are in Your powerful, protective hands. In Your mighty name we pray. Amen.
