We have become aware of another Christian girl in Pakistan kidnapped by a Muslim man and forced to marry him and convert to Islam.
Sidra Bibi, 15, was taken by force on March 27 by Ali Murtaza and two of his accomplices. They audaciously “scaled the wall of her house at around 3 a.m. and took Sidra away at gunpoint” reported her father.
Murtaza forged documents and the local police did not pursue the kidnapping any further.
Sidra’s father further said, “the investigation has stalled, leaving the family with little hope of recovering their daughter, the eldest of his children. He noted that his family is the only Christian household in the village, raising concerns about vulnerability due to their minority status.”
Heavenly Father, we cry out to You to set Sidra free from her captor. The police and judicial system is stacked against Christians who are a small, persecuted minority. Give Sidra courage to know that You have not forgotten her. Protect her from violence and keep her faith strong. May she be victorious in her spirit in the midst of such a despicable crime against her. We ask that You would bring legal representation to Sidra’s family to appeal her case in the courts. Be her great deliverer. In Your mighty name we pray. Amen.
