Daniel Coleman, founder of the children’s content brand Danny Go!, announced that his son, Isaac, died on May 21 at age 14, asking others to remember a boy who faced severe health challenges with “grit” and “trademark joy.”
“Oh my sweet boy,” Coleman wrote in a social media post. “There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process.” Looking back through thousands of photos and videos, Coleman said he was filled with “tremendous pride,” adding, “You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!”
Isaac was born with Fanconi anemia and endured major medical battles throughout his life, including a bone marrow transplant and kidney transplant. Coleman previously described his son as “an incredible kid” and “super tough,” saying Isaac’s journey deeply shaped the causes he cared about, including bone marrow registry participation and organ donation.
Last month, Coleman shared that Isaac’s cancer had continued to spread aggressively and that the family had shifted to a comfort-focused approach with hospice support. “Mindy and I are heartbroken watching him decline,” he wrote at the time, saying they were trying to “keep soaking up the time we still have with our boy.”
Coleman ended his tribute with words of love and grief: “Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”
Please pray for the Coleman family, and for the many children and families who loved Isaac through Danny Go!’s story and ministry of joy.
