Actress Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating after her former “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier announced he is cancer-free following a battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. “DAVE IS CANCER FREE!!!! Join me in celebrating this AMAZING news,” Bure wrote on social media, urging fans to “shower him with all the love in the world.”
Coulier’s representative confirmed the news, and the 65-year-old actor expressed gratitude for the support he received. “I’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to family, friends and fans for their continued prayers, love and support throughout my emotional roller coaster ride through cancer,” he said. He also encouraged early screenings, urging others to “check in with doctors to get early screenings like breast exams, colonoscopies and prostate exams.”
After undergoing a biopsy on a lymph node in his neck, Coulier shared the relief of receiving good results. “[My wife] Melissa and I waited for a week to get the biopsy results back, and there is no sign of cancer,” he said. “One of the few times in my life when ‘zero’ has been a great number to hear.” He added, “Today is the first day that I really feel like, ‘Wow, I’m feeling pretty darn good. I feel like myself.’”
Coulier first revealed his diagnosis in November 2024 after an upper respiratory infection led to further testing. With a family history of cancer, he admitted the reality was sobering: “It’s part of the reality of life… ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’”
The actor, who has spoken openly about his Catholic upbringing and sobriety journey, previously said, “I never wanted to preach to people. I just wanted to share my story.” Now cancer-free, Coulier’s update has sparked celebration among fans and friends alike.
