Venus DeMarco of Texas noticed a lump in her breast. It was large and painful, and she knew something was wrong. A doctor confirmed her fears: breast cancer.
Doctors advised surgery and chemotherapy, but Venus felt God’s guidance to rely on His healing power instead. “I knew right away I was not going to have a double mastectomy. I wasn’t going to have chemo,” she says.
She began a regimen of healthy eating and exercise, standing firmly on God’s Word. Friends and family had mixed reactions—some were excited to see faith in action, others were skeptical, even angry.
Venus prayed daily, sometimes for hours, declaring, “By His stripes, I am healed.”
Two years later, blood tests revealed the miraculous truth: there was no cancer in her body. “I just wanted to praise God,” Venus says. “When He shed His blood, it was for me—and I believed it. He showed me every day that He was my Healer.” Faith became the path to healing—and no surgery was needed.
