Leandro de Souza was once known across Brazil as the “most tattooed man.” His face, head, arms, torso — almost every inch of his body was covered in ink.
But behind the extreme appearance was a life marked by pain:
• Drug addiction
• Homelessness
• Prison
• Depression
• Broken identity
After encountering the gospel in a homeless shelter, Leandro surrendered his life to Christ, was baptized, and walked away from addiction.
And he made a radical decision:
To remove the tattoos that represented his past life. Not because tattoos themselves make someone evil, but because he wanted his outside to reflect the transformation God had done on the inside.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”—2 Corinthians 5:17
Jesus doesn’t just improve people. He makes them new!
