From MS Paralysis to Miraculous Healing on Mission

At 37, Wendy Lawson woke up unable to feel the left side of her body. Within days, numbness turned into spasms and paralysis. An MRI revealed Multiple Sclerosis, and doctors told her she would likely never walk again. For 11 years, Wendy lived in and out of wheelchairs, hospitals, and rehab. Despite the pain, she leaned into her faith, with friends gathering around her bed to pray and study Scripture.

In 1997, Wendy joined a church mission trip to Madagascar. While praying for a young boy with a broken leg at a healing crusade, Wendy felt the boy’s bone move—and in that moment, sensed God tell her she was healed. Believing she had been healed, Wendy stopped her MS medication. Over the next several months, her strength returned. Six months later, her doctor confirmed a miraculous recovery, telling her it was not the result of modern medicine. Today, Wendy is fully healed, has traveled to 37 countries on medical missions, and shares her testimony to encourage others.
