Gavin Casalegno Speaks Boldly About Faith in Hollywood

Gavin Casalegno, best known for his role as Jeremiah Fisher in The Summer I Turned Pretty, has increasingly used his public platform to speak openly about his Christian faith. The 25-year-old actor regularly shares Scripture, encouragement, and personal reflections on prayer, repentance, and living for God while working in Hollywood.

In one widely shared video, Casalegno warned against complacency, saying, “You can’t just be a lukewarm Christian. God wants all of you, not just the Sunday version.” He has also emphasized dependence on God rather than self, explaining, “You’re at your strongest when you realize your strength doesn’t come from you.”

Speaking about a turning point in his spiritual life, Casalegno said, “I had to repent. I had to admit I couldn’t do it on my own. That’s when I felt God’s love the clearest.” He has shared that periodically stepping away from social media helps him focus on his relationship with God: “Deleting Instagram… to spend some time with the Lord — that’s really where I thrive.”

In November 2024, Casalegno married Cheyanne King, whom he has described publicly as a “woman of God,” often highlighting their shared faith and values. Together, they also launched a faith-inspired clothing brand, with Casalegno saying he wanted to create something that would “spark really good conversations” and encourage reflection.
