Franklin Graham said his Good Friday message is simple: “Jesus Christ wasn’t killed.” He said Jesus “went to the cross willingly,” “willingly laid down His life,” and “bled and died for your sins,” before adding that “on the third day God raised Him back to life.”
He said Christ could have called on “70,000 angels” to defend Him, but instead chose the cross so sinners could be forgiven. Graham then urged people to repent, believe by faith that Jesus died for their sins and rose again, and trust Him for forgiveness and a changed life.
He also said many young people are searching for meaning, truth, and purpose, and made clear that sin blocks people from seeing God’s plan for their lives. His message was direct: put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and your life can be turned around “today, right now, this minute.”
