This is truly not a political issue. It is a spiritual issue! It’s funny to me that she blames the consequences on someone else even though she admits she did something “stupid”.
Proverbs 19:3 says, “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.”
Maturity is taking responsibility for the consequences of what we say and do. Ecclesiastes 10:12 says, “The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool shall swallow him up.”
Notice, it’s not the people who respond to a fool’s words who are held responsible for “swallowing up” a life…the fool is held responsible for him or herself!
Proverbs 13:3 says, “He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.”
If you want to grow in maturity and protect your life…guard your own mouth.
