Healing After Loss and Lymphoma

Lynn was diagnosed with lymphoma, a form of cancer doctors told her had no cure. While still processing the diagnosis, she received another devastating blow. A coroner arrived at her home to inform her that her husband, Mike, had died unexpectedly while away on a fishing trip.
Despite doubting that God would answer her prayers, Lynne says she cried out to Him in desperation.

A few days later, a friend invited her to attend church. Reluctantly, she agreed. What she experienced there surprised her. Lynne says the service felt different from what she remembered growing up. For the first time, she says, Jesus felt real to her and over time her depression began to lift.

After one service, Lynne responded to an altar call and asked for prayer. As she shared her story, someone prayed specifically for her healing. Lynne also made the decision to give her life to Christ. The woman who prayed for her told her, “God lives inside of you now, cancer can’t live where God lives, so you go home, and you thank God every day for your healing.”

At her next medical appointment, Lynne says doctors were stunned. Scans showed no trace of lymphoma. She had not undergone treatment, and physicians could not explain the disappearance of the cancer.

Today, Lynne remains cancer-free and is actively involved in the healing ministry at her church. She says the experience changed her life completely.

“God healed more than my body,” Lynne said. “He healed my heart. He gave me hope again.”
