Framing the military campaign as both a battlefield success and a moment of divine favor, Hegseth said Operation Epic Fury had devastated Iran’s military capacity while using only a fraction of America’s total combat power. He described it as “a big day for world peace,” while also making clear that the ceasefire remained fragile and that the U.S. was prepared to act again if Iran broke its commitments.
