New Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak publicly centered his identity and leadership on Christian faith during his introductory press conference. “I see my identity as a child of God,” Kubiak said, adding that he knows he is where he is “because of Jesus Christ.” He acknowledged that this was not always the case, crediting mentors who helped him better understand the Gospel.
Kubiak said his goal is to live out “the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes” and allow those values to shape his coaching, while admitting he often falls short. When that happens, he said he returns to the “building blocks,” which for him is “the Bible,” as the foundation guiding his life and work.
