Evangelist Franklin Graham preached the Gospel to tens of thousands in Cambodia during the two-night Love Siem Reap Festival, drawing more than 27,000 people to the city’s former airport and leading over 2,000 to commit their lives to Christ. Speaking to the crowd, Graham declared, “You need Jesus Christ. He is the only way you can approach God,” as worshipers sang praise to “Preah Yesoo,” or Lord Jesus.
Throughout the weekend, Graham emphasized God’s personal love, telling attendees, “He knows your name. You’re important to Him.” Many responded to the invitation to pray, including Lihuor, who said he struggled with depression before attending. “I came late, but I felt in my heart that I wanted to come down,” he said after accepting Christ. “I have hope.” His uncle Samrass also responded, saying, “I have a lot of problems in my life, so I invited God to fix them. I feel a little bit lighter.”
Graham shared the parable of the Prodigal Son, describing a man who was “running from God,” a message that resonated with Motchoun, who said he had turned away from faith years earlier. “I gave up on God, but God didn’t give up on me,” he said after praying with a local volunteer.
Organizers said the festival resulted in hundreds of transformed lives and renewed hope for Cambodia, with local churches preparing to disciple the new believers as they begin their faith journey.
