Loveland’s Historic Playoff Night Gives Glory to God

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland made history in the 2026 NFC Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers, recording eight receptions for 137 yards — the first rookie tight end ever to reach those marks in a playoff game and helping secure the Bears’ first postseason win over Green Bay since 1941.

After the game, Loveland made it clear where he believed the credit belonged. “All glory to God, first off. Been praying on this, and to see it come to fruition is very, very cool,” he said. He added that he was proud of his teammates and staff for “believing and staying resilient.”

Asked about his individual production, Loveland again redirected attention away from himself, saying, “Shout out Caleb for finding me… shout out to the O-line blocking… but like I said, all glory to God.” Reflecting on the atmosphere at home, he described the crowd as energized and emphasized that the team still has more work ahead.
