“Mike Macdonald is a Super Bowl champion in only his second season as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks — and he didn’t hesitate to say where the credit belongs.
Following Seattle’s 29–13 victory over the Patriots, fueled by a relentless defense that recorded six sacks and forced multiple turnovers, Macdonald said, “I believe God called me to be a coach and I listened to Him and I thank Him.” He then added, “Now, we’re world champions.”
The Seahawks closed the year at 14–3, led the NFL in points allowed, and secured their first Super Bowl title since 2013 — with their head coach publicly giving glory to God on football’s biggest stage.”
