Meta quietly removed transgender and non-binary themes from Messenger in early 2025 as policies shifted. No explanation. No apology. Just reversal. Scripture warned us: systems bend to pressure, but truth does not. When platforms retreat, they expose how fragile man-made absolutes really are.
My opinion:
It never should have been there to begin with. This was a reactive move, riding a cultural trend for marketing relevance and short-term social approval. It was a business decision designed to capitalize on a movement while it carried momentum. Now that the cultural moment has faded, it’s clear the feature created more division than value, especially under the current political and social climate.
I hope Zuckerberg considers the moral trajectory of society more carefully than quarterly optics or profit. The real question is whether leadership is anchored to conviction, or whether it will continue shifting every time public sentiment swings. I pray he chooses to remain grounded moving forward.
