Declared Lifeless at Birth — God Breathed Life Back
Singer Colton Dixon recalls the terrifying birth of his daughter, Ava Dior, in 2020. “She wasn’t breathing [and] didn’t have a pulse,” he told CBN News, describing how he and his wife, Annie, watched medical staff work frantically to save their child.
After a long labor and emergency C-section for her twin, Ava’s body shut down. Doctors and nurses rushed to revive her, but the situation seemed dire. In that moment, the couple faced a choice: faith or fear. They chose faith.
The Dixons prayed boldly, speaking over their daughter from head to toe, trusting that God is still a God of miracles. As they prayed, little Ava began to breathe and her pulse returned — a miraculous restoration witnessed by doctors, nurses, and her parents.
Colton describes it as a “wild, wild moment,” one that reinforced their belief in God’s promises and His power to intervene even in life-threatening circumstances. Whether through the hands of medical staff or directly through God’s touch, the miracle was undeniable.
This story is a vivid reminder that faith can transform fear into hope, prayer can invoke God’s intervention, and miracles still happen today — sometimes in the most critical, unexpected moments of life.
