Nate Schwegman, a 25-year-old from Southern California, was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer after seeking medical attention for persistent coughing and severe back pain. Doctors told him his lungs were filled with metastasized tumors and that cancer had spread into his lower sacrum and bone marrow. With treatment, he was given a 3% chance of survival; without it, six months to a year to live.
Rather than succumb to despair, Schwegman says he chose to “armor up” spiritually. He began reading and proclaiming Bible verses about healing and prayed through intense pain, often waking in the early morning hours to worship.
One night, after what he describes as severe agony, he says he felt a heat move through his body, concentrating where the cancer was located. The next morning, he says his pain was gone.
At a follow-up scan, doctors told him there was no trace of cancer. According to Schwegman, physicians also found miraculous new bone growth in the area where cancer had previously eroded his sacrum.
