The report that more than 400 Oklahoma inmates gave their lives to Jesus is linked to a major prison outreach at John H. Lilley Correctional Center in Boley, Oklahoma. Victory Church / Victory Christian Center from Tulsa led the event.
According to reports, about 751 inmates attended an outdoor gathering at the facility, and over 400 men said they decided to follow Christ.
The event also included 41 baptisms.
Additional details include volunteers providing about 1,000 hot meals, approximately 700 Bibles, and supplies and encouragement for inmates and staff. The event was a comprehensive ministry effort.
Oklahoma’s Faith & Community office has recognized Victory Church’s broader activities, which include training volunteers and gatherings at several facilities. Additional visits are planned, with a focus on ongoing discipleship. New participants will have access to structured mentorship programs, regular Bible study groups, and individual counseling sessions. These initiatives are designed to support participants’ ongoing engagement.
If a portion of these faith commitments results in personal change, the event goes beyond a single occurrence. It highlights outreach efforts to people who are often overlooked.
