A retired pastor in the UK is awaiting a court decision after facing prosecution for publicly sharing John 3:16 outside Causeway Hospital in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.
Pastor Clive Johnston held a small Sunday service in an area designated as a “safe access zone.” According to reports, the abortion facility on site was closed at the time, no reference to abortion was made, and there were no protest signs involved.
Police reportedly advised him to move his message to a more “appropriate” setting, such as the hospital’s chaplaincy.
The case has now drawn international attention, with the U.S. State Department said to be monitoring developments.
