Christians do not have to bow to political idolatry just because someone claims to defend “Christian values.” A golden statue of a man should disturb every believer who knows Scripture. We watched Israel fall into corruption around the golden calf while convincing themselves they were still honoring God. That spirit never left humanity.
Donald Trump is not the Messiah. He is not to be worshiped, glorified, exalted, or treated like America’s savior. The moment Christians become more defensive over a politician than the holiness of God, something is deeply wrong.
Too many believers are excusing pride, ego worship, and celebrity culture because it benefits their political side. But truth does not change depending on who is holding the microphone. Christians are called to stand with righteousness, not personality cults.
