Shahbaz Bhatti’s Unshaken Faith

Shahbaz Bhatti was the only Christian cabinet minister in Pakistan—and one of the only voices boldly defending persecuted believers under dangerous blasphemy laws.

He received constant death threats, knew he was a target, and still… he refused to stay silent.

Before he was killed, he recorded a message declaring his faith in Jesus Christ and his willingness to lay down his life for the cause of truth and justice.

On March 2, 2011, gunmen ambushed his car and riddled it with bullets. He was killed for standing for the truth when many would have wavered in order to save their own life.

But Shahbaz didn’t deny Christ, compromise truth, or choose safety over obedience.

This is what real conviction looks like.

Jesus said: “Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 16:25)

Faith is not just what we say. It’s what we stand on when everything is on the line.

Pray for persecuted Christians around the world.
Pray for boldness, protection, and endurance.
Pray that we would carry this kind of courage.

The Gospel is still worth everything.
