Something I never told anyone. This is how BIG God is.
I was content with one child. My wife had it in her heart to have at least two. After five years, she finally surrendered it to God. We’re 35, and we both know it only gets harder from here, and the risks only go up.
Then one day, out of nowhere, I prayed and said, “God… okay. Show me what You want me to do here.”
And I’m telling you, the Spirit of God came over me with emotion, gladness, joy, and peace. Immediately I was like, “Oh wow… okay.”
So I turned to my wife (sorry for the TMI ) and I said, “Now. The time is right now.” The Holy Spirit told me without a shadow of a doubt. She turned around like, “Oh wow… wait, what? Umm… okay!”
And it was that exact night. One time. No rehearsals. It had to happen.
For extra confirmation, I looked at her and said, “The Lord spoke. If there’s a Bible verse about babies in any way, we’ll know.”
It was 12:01, so the Bible app switched to the new daily message, and it said, “On this day a baby was born.” Literally that night. The night she was conceived.
The pregnancy was flawless, and now she’s here.
Listen, when God makes a promise, that’s the answer. Rest in the finished work. And men, it’s not just your call. Listen to the Spirit. He will tell you.
Like I said, it was five years later. My wife had been quietly praying for another, and when it finally hit my spiritual radar, it was GO time.
